Anouk continued to point the camera at the patron until he eventually muttered that he liked sweet crepes and street performers. At once she lost interest in him, and prowled the rest of the café, asking the same of the other patrons and waitresses.
When she sat back down, she dislodged the spool of film, holding it up to the light.
"There," she stated proudly, "now whenever you feel sad you can look at this and it will remind you of happy things. It's a shame we can't watch it."
