He shifted, sliding down in the chair into a horrible but ultimately comfortable posture. "Mother died when I was four, and Father never remarried, so no brothers or sisters. I was too busy helping him fix tractors to date during high school, and too busy fixing and flying planes to date once I was in the army." He shrugged. "Bothered my crew more than it bothers me. Their wives kept trying to fix me up with their friends."
