Personal Letter
Jilleen had learned from her contacts aboard Avalon , that Daniella would transfer to the Shangri-la. Arrangements had been made for her to stay in a private cabin, by whom Jilleen did not know exactly, but could guess. She had a room number and the time of Daniella's expected arrival. Unfortunately, she would be away during that time for her second session with Dr. Hanover.
She decided it would be best if she wrote her a letter, before trying to visit. She paid a steward to personally deliver the letter to Daniella's room some time after her arrival.
Dear Daniella
I was pleased to have learn that you will be spending your time aboard the Shangri-la during Avalonās next mission. There is no better ship in the fleet to spend your days and to enjoy all that she has to offer. I hope your move went well.
As you perhaps already know, I had been relieved of duty aboard Avalon shortly after the incident that occurred down in the hanger. Let me assure you I bare no ill well toward you, I still consider you very much a friend. I take full responsibility for my actions.
Please forgive me. It was absolutely wrong of me to have treated you the way I did, when your intentions were that of a friend coming to assist another. It was a situation that got out of control and never should have happened.
For that I deeply apologize to you and your husband. If I had done my job properly at the start, there would not have been a need for you to come down to the hanger. I would have felt terribly if it had jeopardized your pregnancy.
I would understand if you still harbor resentment toward me for the way I treated you and your friend. I can not change the past. As you may know from your husband, us Aerilans can get quite passionate in our causes and toward those we love, some more than others. I have come to realize recently, that this passion for those we love can cloud our judgment.
If you have it in your heart to forgive me, I would very much like to spend some time with you while you are aboard. I am staying aboard with the Sertiouses, and if I am not there, please leave a message.
I hope we can meet soon.
Your friend always,
Jill
