Sensory overload didn't just happen to the blind. After stepping out of her apartment, Karen had spent several minutes just standing outside and staring around. Most of the people were definitely not human, and it seemed off to see them going about actions that were (mostly) human, at least in her eyes. Eventually, she started to walk though that was probably mostly due to the fact that she was frozen in place and several beings were starting to become more than a bit annoyed at her for blocking them from their business.
When she made it to the coffee shop, "Dispatch," Karen's bright blue eyes scanned the room as she entered, and she relaxed a little as she realized she'd gotten there first. Sitting at an empty table next to a window, she started to scan the menu curiously, wondering just what was in the drinks she'd never heard of. As she was working on making up her mind, Karen heard a familiar voice and glanced his direction.
Matt looked....pretty much mostly the same. It was hard to connect him, really, to the vigilante she'd spent the past year idolizing, cursing, or thanking for the occasional life saving. If she hadn't seen the mask, Karen probably wouldn't have believed it at all. After a minute of silence, she reminded herself that she needed to say something so he'd find his way to her, and she spoke up.
