Shepard Barry
If it's any consolation Barry, I can one hundred percent vouch for medical here. I've got some really candid stuff under the hood and, having worked with Doc Mercy and Banner both, they're pretty solid when it comes to keeping up the Hippocratic oath. I know that probably doesn't mean a lot coming from a stranger, but, there you have it all the same.
First time doing barracks living huh? That can be an adjustment by itself, so I can see why you're having trouble sleeping. Earplugs, sleep mask? Probably not a whole lot more helpful if you're having trouble feeling secure. How long's it been since you've had a good night's sleep? I can talk to the woman I'm splitting a space with, see if we can get you on a couch rotation if you want? I can at least promise you that you'd be safe there. And they make sun lamps for humans too but, agreed that they wouldn't do a whole lot of good in communal bunking.
Cars is the big one, national borders is another. We left Earth a good long while ago where I was from and, from the look of it, all that extra space out in the stars kind of made a lot of other issues moot. Plus it's a bit hard to argue human racial tensions when you start inter-species breeding. Trading racism for Xenophobia might not seem like a big difference, but let me tell you it took some work not to sock some people right in the mouth.
