She kept herself as still and calm as she could, to be the rock that he could cling to. Decontamination was never fun if you didn't know what it was. And there was really no describing it or warning of it that would really suffice. She still felt bad though. She would have spared Alphonse this, but she hadn't the clearance to override the procedure.
"Yeah sure. You're lucky I'm on the second deck, which is where we'll come out. The ship is big enough for four of those." Once the procedure was done she stepped inside and smiled at Al's obvious excitement. "Well she was built 2185 and this one is a successor actually. This is the SR2, the previous one was SR1." Smiling she motioned him along, walking past the hologram and galaxy map to the research terminal and lab. She wasn't officially a scientist, but as it was what a Pathfinder could be easily translated to she'd claimed the lab for herself. "And this is where I work." Smiling she leaned down and picked a large clear ball up. Usually Sally, the Hamster, stayed with her. She had a cage in her quarters, but she liked having the company. Smiling she opened the ball and gently took the little creature out. "And this, is Sally." Smiling she offered the animal to Al. "Hold out your hands, cup them." Then she would set the little hamster in his hands. "I have another one, but he's on my ship. Cute, aren't they?"
