Her preferred kitchen had moved across the hall from the library, so it was a short walk and Rose didn't have time to feel like a participant in a weird game of Follow the Leader.
The kitchen wasn't cramped, but it was still small enough that they could avoid involuntary teleportation as long as they didn't deliberately move to opposite sides of the room. It was pretty typically furnished for 21st century Earth, with counters and appliances along three sides. A table with a few chairs was pushed flush against the fourth beneath a large window currently showing a sunrise.
"Make yourself at home." She headed straight for the coffeemaker and set it to brew a full pot. Even if Nebula didn't partake, she felt as though it'd be needed. It really was too early for this.
She turned around to lean back on the counter, drumming her fingers. "So, it looks like we're stuck with each other for the foreseeable future. Let's try to make it as painless as possible, shall we?" They would have to work out the logistics of the situation at some point, but first, breakfast. She always thought better on a full stomach, and a shared meal was usually a good way to build rapport.
"I mostly do Earth human food because, well..." She waved a hand at herself by way of explanation. "Any requests? Or, you know, definite no's."
