Disneyland is only really worthwhile in the cooler months because while it's still a little crowded, you're not going to get overheated and spend too much money - or try to lift - too many refreshments. Also there's a Halloween Tree and it's the best part of the park, as a personal opinion. They do up the majority of Fantasy Land in the decorations of previously stated holiday. Amoeba Records is kind of a catch all entertainment place with a nook where live bands would play on occasion, they have a very wide selection of imported vinyl and various other things. The Mutter Museum is admittedly not for everyone, it's a museum of medical conditions and oddments (like objects people have swallowed [toy cars, I Like Ike buttons, etc) or bodies preserved as soap.] and ..the Teddy Bear Museum is exactly what it says it is, and houses the first Fozzie Bear puppet. ..and the Bowery is just a nice venue, it's pretty. There are occasions when that's all anyone needs.
