"Well, we've not printed t-shirts or anything," she replied flippantly. "But there was certainly an urgency to our coming together." River followed him and leaned against the railing across from where the Doctor sat.
She nodded knowingly. She had met him once before. In fact, she had met all of his previous regenerations at least once, a fact that she had never shared with him. She wondered what was holding her back from doing so now. "You didn't have much choice in the matter with me, I'm afraid. I obviously avoided going into the details of my tutelage, but I did tell him the TARDIS had been the one to teach me. He didn't take too kindly to my referring to her as my Fairy Godmother, but I think it describes our relationship quite beautifully." River smiled and looked around the console room fondly. Her eyes quickly returned to the Doctor. "And how is your head, Doctor?" She couldn't resist. "Anything I ought to be worried about? Or has seclusion allowed you to suppress whatever it is down nice and tight so it can creep up and become an issue again later?" Her voice was light and playful, but her eyes showed real concern.
