"They're strong. They're going to be just fine." Doing his best to be comforting, though the woman had thankfully dried her tears and seemed more cheerful now, How does she do that? he wondered, Castiel rubbed a hand over her forearm. He'd seen it done on a sit-com once. It'd worked for the man in his hideous mauve sport coat as he'd comforted that loud Spanish lady.
Charlie had liked Rowena and Crowley? Cas had to begrudgingly admit, Crowley had grown on him.. but Rowena was another story. She'd been the one to drive Charlie away and yet.. here she was, saying she'd liked the witch.
This woman really was one of the good ones. One of the best, in fact. The thought had the angel smiling. Charlie was a good person, she always had been, and it had warmed the angel to be near her. And then she was gone, back home to heaven, and he'd almost been glad for it. She had been too good for the world below.
"You're right." He agreed after a moment. "We're here now. That's all that matters." The future could wait for both of them. They weren't done yet.
