Well, that was arrogant. It caught Harry off guard, as did the smirk on her face and her general stance. But a meek woman wouldn't have kicked ass like that. A meek woman would have ducked and run for cover just as soon as she was free from whatever it was that was threatening her. So Harry bit back his surprise and tried to look less threatening without being a target. He'd run afoul of his own troubles these last few weeks by underestimating the women he'd talked to. Texas had put a gun to his head and pulled the trigger, only her highly trained reflexes had enabled her to jerk the gun at just the last moment that the bullet didn't get him in the forehead. Scary.
So Harry looked at the woman and schooled his reactions to her arrogance. He quirked a brow, adopted a casual expression and said, "Uh, yeah, that guy.. I just thought he might have done more to bother you and I wanted to-"
She'd introduced herself as wizard and Nephalem. That... that was a terrifying combination. Good job, again, Dresden. Harry inhaled a quick breath and tried not to release a curse on the way out.
"Uh, hi.. Li-Ming, I'm Harry Dresden," he eyed her helpful smile and tried not to think of it like a snake. "Also a wizard. Was that a demon?" Way to just go for broke, Harry.
