Laughing at the response, Dick grinned right back, "me too. It's a Robin thing." A protective arm came to rest across Jason's shoulders, ready to move should the younger Robin want to shrug it off. Dick knew he was twitchy about contact to start with, and the current version was just the same. Strange how some things went full circle. "I have food at mine, not just cereal, promise."
Smiling as Lucky reintroduced himself, Dick was glad that Jason hadn't questioned his explanation. "Not long ago, yeah, he is. Lucky's owner was sent home by whatever brought him here, but poor pup was left behind, so I adopted him. But he is friends with another dog here, called Cosmo, and they hang out a lot too."
