Mustang's attention darted to the woman, he half turned defensively and raised a hand midway before he realized where he was and what the woman was holding in her hands. He'd lost his soul somewhere out in the sands of Ishbal and gained a healthy sense of paranoia in place of it. Martha not announcing herself could have been deadly if the Colonel were an ounce less in control of himself.
"You're the doctor?" he said, his eyes moving back to the boy as he applied pressure to the injury to slow the blood flow. His dark eyes narrowed as Ed explained what he remembered. Homunculus. That bullshit again. The Colonel made a noise of acknowledgement.
"Well, you're safe here," he noted a moment later, "I'll debrief you when you aren't speaking nonsense." That was, when Edward wasn't in danger of dying - though such 'sentiment' went unspoken. It was also so that Roy could accurately determine what he was willing to tell Ed, too. The Colonel looked back at the doctor.
"Healing isn't my specialty. I'll leave you to it, but I'm not going far."
