The kid was a regular pain in Mustang's ass. Admittedly, the Colonel was a little ambivalent on his feelings about Ed's arrival; he wasn't who the Colonel had been looking for or hoping would arrive in Knowhere. But there was still a dire sense of responsibility for the Elric brothers, or brother in this case, given the Colonel was his commanding officer.
Edward had arrived injured which wasn't unusual, given Ed's penchant for reckless action. Kid never slowed down enough to think about anything before he went through with his ideas. Of course he got hurt every other day.
That wasn't the part that concerned the Colonel. Not more than usual, anyway. He tucked all that bullshit away for later and made his way out of the barracks and to the medical facility Ed said he was in.
The Colonel ignored the general noise and hubbub of activity, his dark eyes scanning faces and figures until they landed on a head of golden hair he'd recognize anywhere. The man closed the distance rapidly.
"Stay still," The Colonel commanded, snapping a hand out to shove Ed back into his seat before Ed could get all the way to his feet. Frowning, Roy dragged up all his knowledge on cauterizing injuries, his fingers automatically probing the source of blood. "What happened?"
He wasn't a doctor and healing alchemy wasn't his specialty, but he could do a patch job if necessary.
