Harry grinned fiercely when Sif joined him, sparing a glance for the Asgardian just long enough to watch her sink her sword into the soft spots of their enemies. Some might think swords were useless against such beasts, Harry on the other hand, had seen a Good Man charge headlong into similar odds with one and faith alone on his side. It was always an impressive sight. Especially for Harry, as someone who knew enough about sword fighting to know he didn't know much.
That didn't mean he couldn't help them out a little.
They were surrounded on all sides, despite the narrow chute he'd created, and would lose ground in a matter of moments by sheer overwhelming numbers if they let up.
So Harry reached inward, drawing on the power of Winter inside him, so that the air around him grew colder and a layer of frost touched everything within a ten yard radius. His lips and nails turned blue but even so, Harry didn't feel the cold himself as he thrust out his staff again and shouted, "Arctis!" In a rush, the magic lanced out and struck one of the creatures, freezing the thing mid motion into a hunk of ice.. but also creating a bulldozer out of its bulk as it slid along the ground, owing to the fact it had been moving fairly quickly for its size.
"Sif!" Harry shouted. "Smash!"
Where was the Hulk when they needed him?
Whirling, Harry shoved the end of his staff into the body of a thing too close to him and .. more or less bounced off of it. "Fuego!" he snarled and lit the thing up. That didn't stop it from coming. That was fine.
"Pyrofuego!" Blue white flame lashed from the end of his staff and burned a hole through his target.
This was always how it was. There was always more of them than there were of Harry. It was nice having a squad of backup though.
