Sif...honestly wasn't sure what she should have been expecting. She had seen these Reaper monsters up close and personal, but that had been on the ground, with a planet beneath her feet. Even then, they had been no small thing to dispatch, if only for their numbers. The fighting had been almost exhausting, even by her standards, and it had raged for four long days before she had forced herself off the field of battle to prevent exhaustion from making her a liability. Asgardian she might be but, as Torunn had pointed out on the way over here, invincible she was not. Whatever company she might have kept on this trip, whoever might have been ready to stand and fight beside her (the third option, death, was still one she wasn't willing to consider), if there was one thing Sif was certain of?
This beast which they had landed inside was going to die today. That, she had decided. She would give her last breath to plunge the sword into this thing's heart if that was what it took.
However, if the mages initial display was any indication? That breath would not be required to see this task through to the end. In fact, with such a wide swath carved, with now an easy space with which to rush herself into, Sif actually found herself feeling like maybe this battle was going to go a lot easier than the initial planning had suggested it might. She knew better than to get overconfident, knew better than to lose her cool in the midst of battle. More than anything, Thor had taught her that. Thor, whose child she was about to rush into battle with. Thor, who had lost his cool more times than she could count and made battles worse with his brash lack of strategy. She knew what a hot head in the middle of battle meant. She knew better than to fall prey to it.
She also knew the importance of morale at a time like this though too.
"Well struck Harry Dresden! A most impressive blow!" She took a moment to quip, already sprinting into step with him so that she might join him in the clash against the mass of disoriented aliens. The sword was quick to cut and slash deep. It had trouble with the hides of these beasts, but Sif had already learned to strike for the gaps.
