Harry & Open 1/2
“Give me a ten second head start,” Harry said, thinking technology positive thoughts while he stood as close to the door of the TARDIS as possible, surrounded by new allies and Alucard.
He was soaked under his duster on account that he had rode the duration of the trip under a cold blast of water in the showers, pretending he was bored with Alucard the whole while as they traded barbs back and forth. Harry understood predators and why it was a bad idea to appear weak in front of them, so he’d settled for being unimpressed with the vampire.
But they were quickly approaching their destination now so Harry had moved to the door--the hatch? Whatever. It was the place they were offloading from, where he donned his spelled coat. It wasn't doing anything to warm him up and it wasn't improving his mood at all, but so long as the layers of protection he’d laid over it held that was all that mattered.
Standing there, Harry contemplated blasting Alucard off the TARDIS the moment the doors opened. But while he harbored those thoughts secretly he also kept a tight reign on his magic as much as he could while not under the water. That didn’t mean he wasn’t leaking, as evidenced by the flickering lights and the general confusion of the machines around him. He had to bail soon or else they’d lose their transport and their hope of surviving this shit.
Harry glanced around at the faces of the team, suppressing a shiver as he did. The cold from the shower had settled into his bones but there was no time to worry about it now. If he got pneumonia later and died then so be it. Hell, he’d probably die here today in the middle of this behemoth of a thing so why be concerned about small things like bone chill?
“Get your game face on,” he said to no one in particular, then gathered himself together. For Harry, his game face was all internal. It helped that he was generally a gigantic human though, standing over six and a half feet tall and weighing in around some 250 pounds. That, coupled with the myriad of scars, made him a frightening human to look on in normal circumstances. However, being surrounded by Asgardians, an Amazonian, Super Girl, and Dracula himself, Harry was chump change beside them.
He’d give them hell if they went for his throat though.
He didn’t have time to think about it. The doors to the TARDIS opened and for a moment Harry’s breath was simply ripped from his lungs. Briefly he panicked that it was because the atmosphere wasn’t suited for humans, but no. It was just the reality of the situation driving home inside his brain. He was going to die here.
