"You're damn right!" Shepard shouted back in agreement, ignoring any sense of pain or discomfort.
What came next, if they hadn't been neck deep in Reapers on a suicide mission to blow Harbinger out of the sky and straight back to Hell, honestly would have been something she would have liked to just...stop and appreciate. There was however a brief minute spared for the thought of 'Wrex would have loved this'. Hell, so would Garrus have for that matter and Grunt would have been laughing like a damn fool. All of them would have followed her here, no matter how much she'd tried to talk them out of it. It almost made her wish they were here, even if it was every kind of selfish to think so. In the end all there was to greet the display was a loud and triumphant Ooh-Rah!
She wasn't even missing a beat as she rushed into the space Sabo had created with his display. "It's not far now. Just keep pushing!" The truth was that Shepard didn't know how far it was but, if the plan was going as well as it should have been, or even half was well as the fighting seemed to be so far, then what she said should have been true. That was a welcome relief too, what with how Harbinger's command had been followed to the letter and the Reapers were indeed converging on their location with a greater density than she was comfortable with. This was going to tax the hell out of the amp, this was going to be one of the hardest days she'd been through since the day she'd been here
Adeleis Shepard would remain the unrelenting force however. Like Sabo, she'd fell Reapers in a way that made it look easy. With pistol rounds and biotics alike, combinations, fire explosions, and every step of ground being hard fought and hard won. She might not have had his ability to turn into fire, but that wasn't going to hold her back. It was why she didn't even hesitate when it came to tossing a Ravager back into the crowd or, when she eyed the next Brute, tossing out a ball of biotics that would slowly rend the plates from its armor while she focused on moving forward with the group. This was a nightmare, this was her worst nightmare, but she was going to beat it. She was going to battle and blast her way through Harbingers insides and she was going to blow that sonofabitch into pieces. She was going to tear him apart and build a monument to his failure out of his scrap, send it up into space as a warning for anyone who ever thought this would be a good idea to do on her watch and...
Another string of shockwaves rolled out from under her feet to dislodge the group in front of them, giving them more room to breathe. She heard the concussion from the primed Brute bounce off the walls as she tried to step up into the gap...right about the same time she failed to gauge how far away it was and she felt the things mighty arm rend her shields and puncture both armor and flesh alike. Her reply was barely a grimace as adrenaline surged to keep the pain at bay and brought her knee up into the elbow joint of the corpse so she might pull its claws from her. She'd been wounded enough times to know it wasn't good but it wasn't bad. Or, at least it wasn't enough to make her stop
Then again, she didn't think there was a force in the Universe that could have convinced her to do that.
"I think I see it!" She barked through the pain, gritting her teeth as she tried to catch her breath for a moment. "We're almost there!"
