It didn't really surprise her. Despite purposefully limiting the use of the Force, ever since her travels color and sound had bled over more into her perceptions. That, and as ever the Force's sense of humor was obvious. And in a way she'd pretty much been pushing the Force to react in it's own way. The presence of the man just made her smile, and she lowered the husk of the 'saber back to her. She took it in hand and politely moved all the parts aside. Still well within reach, but no longer taking up half a table so he could put the tray down.
"I was." She offered honestly. There was no real point to lie about that, plus it never felt right. "I was exiled," she offered in terms of explanations. "It is a long story," She set the husk near the parts and offered her hand. "Meetra Surik, nice to meet you. Apologies, sometimes I take things apart in order to think." Which would in it's own way explain the mess.
