Despite the wide gulf between their personalities, Sabo actually shared quite a bit in common with Monsieur LeBeau. Besides the fact that they both had a preference for staves, and that they both boasted of a very warm touch, both of these men were wanted, guarded individuals. Their rap sheets told different stories, but 'dead or alive' was likely listed next to both of their names on a list or two. For the very same reason that Gambit hesitated to give out his real name, Sabo would only give a vague response in return.
"Here and there", Sabo simply replied, flashing Remy a knowing look. It was paired with a tiny smirk, which he hoped would properly convey his meaning.
Sabo was in no position to judge the man's intent either. He himself had taken a job here to stay better connected to the flow of resources, and he was already in the process of meeting with buyers and sellers, vendors in the market, and a few seedy sorts who occasionally 'found' merchandise that 'fell' off of transports. Sabo was no stranger to the underground - these were the people who really knew what was going on, and had worked with the same kinds of thieves and smugglers for years.
"I could probably put in a good word for you with the boss, if you're actually interested in the work," said Sabo after a brief pause. "Or...maybe you and I can just work something out. Within reason, of course."
