"Oh!" she squeaked when he picked up. "Hi." She giggled softly. "Yeah, I know what you mean. After... something like that, sleep isn't going to come easily. That and I think I've reached that point where I'm so exhausted, I can't sleep. Not that I've tried yet. I just got home."
She was shimmying out of her dress pants, then unbuttoning her top, leaving her in her panties and bra.
"And I guess I don't want to be alone," she admitted, rising and taking the cordless receiver into the bedroom with her. "I wasn't experiencing the same things as you, obviously. It was more... paranoia. But I was seeing people that weren't there. I felt... watched and... hated. And being alone after that, with my thoughts, isn't an attractive prospect."
