Matt nodded to her. "Sure, beautiful. Rest yourself." He moved out of the room with Dick only a beat behind him. "She doesn't know? About the guy that died?"
"No," Dick murmured to him, pulling the door to. "She doesn't. We're waiting until she's... stronger."
"Who was he?" Matt asked. He wasn't trying to be invasive, but there were just so many questions.
"A friend," Dick said simply. "One who was trying to help Helena. Matt... I don't want to sound cryptic, but with something like this, you're better off keeping your distance."
Matt nodded at this, feeling not exactly threatened, not by Dick, but by the unknown.

"Miss Kyle," Alfred greeted warmly, taking her hand and helping her out of the cab.
"You were prepared," she noted.
"Word travels fast," he chuckled. She was about to pay the cab driver when Alfred interjected and paid for her. "Now you don't think Master Bruce would actually make you pay for your own cab."
"Apparently not," she smiled, following him inside. "I was told to watch out for the new foster child. Should I introduce myself."
"Stephanie keeps to herself mostly," Alfred said. "If she wanders in, I don't think it would be out of the question to say hullo."
"Hullo?" Selina giggled. "I'm sorry. I'm teasing you now."
"I think most men would be quite pleased to be teased by a beautiful lady such as yourself," he countered. "I work for Bruce Wayne. Doubtful there's anything you could say to me that would offend."
"I was told not to ask about your military career," Selina pointed out. "Which immediately made me want to ask. Any man who's served in the military immediately becomes a little more intriguing to me, might I say."
Alfred gave her an enigmatic smile as he led her to the room with the plasma TV. "Well, aren't you in for a treat."
