Of Chameleons and Such...
Who: Charles, Teja and a Chameleon What: Gift giving. Where: Teja's quarters.
Charles had been very young when his fascination with the tiny leaf-shaped reptiles had begun. Instead of seeing them as a creature that hid and changed according to a predatory response, Charles always figured them for smarter than that. His first one had taught him the little guys could and would change depending on what time of day it was, what WAS after them and to stalk its own prey. Besides all of that, they were just cute as all hell.
He knocked at Teja's door, wheeling the cart he had with an aquarium habitat dissasembled in a box and a few other boxes that contained plants and dirt, and even one that chirped noisily with crickets inside. The Chameleon rested on the stem of his glasses, curling his tail around while it checked out two things at once.
