Who: Santana Lopez and Noah Puckerman What: Santana's attempt at jealousy seems to have worked When: February 2011 Where: Choir room, then who knows.
Glee practice wasn't the easiest time to flirt in front of people, but without Cheerios, it wasn't like there were many places she could count on Puck noticing. The cafeteria was always too crowded and Puck's attention, for some reason that was completely beyond her, was on Lauren these days. She wasn't even hot. So between practicing dance numbers, Santana did as much flirting with Sam as she could. At the beginning of practice, she had actually been sitting on Sam's lap until Mr. Schuester made her sit next to Sam. Her flirting was anything but subtle, and she was sure people who really knew her realized that it wasn't because she was into Sam. He was just a tool to regain the attention of the one she really wanted.
She'd been dating Sam since she first broke up Quinn and Sam, and she was sure he didn't have any complaints. She undoubtedly let the blonde boy get much further with her than he had ever gotten with Quinn and she was good at what she did. Very good. No one she had been with ever complained, and usually it was her ignoring them. Not the other way around. No one had ever ignored Santana Lopez before, and definitely not Puckerman. With the exception of the few times he actually dated someone else, they'd been hooking up for well over a year. So why not now? He couldn't be bored with her.
She still felt like there wasn't really anything there with Puck and Lauren. Maybe she was just a challenge, though Santana didn't get that either. Lauren looked like the type of person who would be desperate for any loving, and would be thrilled to get noticed by Puck, but Santana wasn't blind. The girl was making Puck work hard. She didn't even deserve him. It was frustrating.
Despite the fact that her thoughts had been on Puck the entire practice, she didn't look at him once, her attention had been focused solely on Sam, and she'd even gotten called down by Mr. Schue a few times for it, even after the lap incident. 'Santana, pay attention,' 'Samtana, whispering to Sam isn't going to teach you the dance moves.' She could only hope that Puck was paying even a little attention and secretly seething with jealousy.
After Glee practice ended, she gave Sam a long kiss on the lips before sending him off telling him she had to go shopping with Brittany because not being a Cheerio meant she seriously needed to expand her wardrobe. She needed new clothes since she had to wear them to school now. He bought it and she lingered in the room even after the blonde girl left. There weren't many in the classroom by the time she finally walked toward the door, taking her time but not looking like she was waiting for anything.
