Concrit meme - Take 74!
We're having a concrit meme again! The rules are the same as last time:

Comment to this post with a list of your characters.

Then reply anonymously to the other players, giving concrit on how they're playing/their characterization/their interactions/etc. Or ask them to elaborate on different events and choices with their characters - why did [character] do x or y, and so on.

Flames will simply get screened or deleted - and, if I can track it down, you could be banned. The idea is to help us all improve and clear out possible misunderstandings, point out activity issues, etc, not to simply insult someone. The more you can elaborate and specify (in a civil, reasonable way) why something bothers you, the better.

You can just praise a character/mun, if you can't find anything wrong with what they do. It's always better if you can elaborate on why you like that character (then that person can know what they're doing right), but hey, flailing at someone is fine too.

This is semi-mandatory! If you aren't comfortable with the HMD, or don't feel like posting every time, or whatever the reason is, it's just fine, go ahead and don't participate. Obviously, I'd rather everyone did.

And one last thing - we're a small game! If nobody comments, then the meme doesn't work. If you receive comments, try to leave at least one of your own to somebody else. It's always better if we have many replies, and various POVs.

I'm fully aware of how absent my two creeps have been, and while that doesn't excuse it, I'd at least want to make it clear that I know how much they just... haven't really been around.

That said, I'd love feedback on Haru & (lok!)Mako, as they're the newest kids I have.

I'll preface this by saying that I enjoy all your characters as always, and love just how varied you can make so many different characters and how easily their personalities and little quirks come through.

Since you asked about them specifically, I'll say that I'm really enjoying Haru's threads so far. You do such a great job of capturing his weirdness, and I applaud your ability to keep threads going, especially since he's a relatively quiet guy. I'm excited for when he actually does turn into a mermaid, as I'm sure it'll be hilarious.

For Mako, I think you do a great job of capturing his particular brand of awkwardness and his unique sense of humor. I'd love to see him getting more involved in a kind of Charming line of thought, in which his more Upholding the Law nature can come through, and/or his wish to help others (perhaps anyone who might remind him of Bolin?). He's a lot of fun and I'm loving your take on him, and can't wait to see more of him.

As always you are amazing and brilliant with your characters. I don't think anyone here needs to reiterate how diverse and distinct the voices are for each of them. I haven't noticed one character particularly neglected over the other. When I see them around I hear their voices clearly and I am forever a sucker for Aramis and Porthos threads. They're so lovely.

I will say that it would be nice to see you branch out a little bit. I often tend to see you rapidly tag close CR that you have had for a long time. Which makes sense, especially because you are good friends with some of the players and are in cast together. At times it's easy to bounce off of someone if you know they are around at the same time as well. But I'd really enjoy seeing your characters become more deeply involved with some of the new characters in the game, or canons you are unfamiliar with. Sometimes it feels a little unbalanced when one thread will have over thirty rapid comments, while others might remain neglected for a couple of days.

This has nothing to do with your characterization. I think you're brilliant and love playing with you and watching your tags with others! I'd just enjoy seeing it spread around that much more!

Thank you for the comment! I absolutely get what you're saying, and while I try to not let tags get too old ("too old" = over a week, and it usually is the case), lately I kinda fell into a bit of a slump and/or haven't been able to hit the backlog more regularly and my CR in general suffered from it. I've been working on getting back on track, since it really got bad for a while.

I fear it might be worse because of how unbalanced in terms of characters things are, too? I mean with some people I have one or two threads going on, maybe, while with others I have anywhere from 15-20 to 50+. So I imagine for those with less characters it's far far more noticeable... Whichever the case, I highly encourage anyone to prod me on plurk about these things! Obviously you should not have to be telling me to play, but don't hesitate to be like HEY JL TOSS SO AND SO TO THIS TAG, or ask me to pick up a thread if I've left it behind too much, or talk to me for ways of deepening CR as well. I know many of the people around are shy about things like that, but don't worry about it, I'm always happy to chat about CR o3ob

Would love feedback on Rin, as he's new and I feel as if I am definitely messing him up right out of the gate. Nia and Korra are both new(ish) and would love feedback on them, as well. And on everyone else, too.

I apologize in general that my activity has dropped off a bit the last few weeks. I have no excuse for it aside from it being a pretty crummy month, and last crit meme I got pointers on Hook that I feel I have not followed through on (I'm still trying, and hopefully I'll have better results come next month).

Thanks everyone for any and all feedback.

Not going to bother with anon for this, since I'd likely be obvious. Anyway. Rin. Over all, he's really been fun to play off of, and I just love tossing Ichiru his way. His initial reactions to Kiseki are pretty much what I could picture him being like, especially with how irked and confused he was by all of it, and just calling bullshit. Cross-canon interactions, as well. He's been just on that edge of pleasant (for lack of a better term), but still WTF, and kind of snippy at others, if that even makes sense, idek. His disbelief over the whole magic stuff is of course also believable, because yeah, in the end, he's just this normal teenager from a normal present-day world, suddenly stuck in a magic-filled place where anything can happen.

Moving on, though. I honestly found myself very bewildered when he and Haru kissed. Don't get me wrong, they are my absolute favorite 'ship in the whole series, and I certainly do like kisses. Even so, though, while I can see that maybe this is something you wanted to do, it was really, really fast, within just a couple of days of being in the game. I do get that yes, it's in the mingle with booze and lowered inhibitions, but even then, it just felt very off. I'm not sure how buzzed Rin is in that (or if it's just Haru?), but he wouldn't up and do that so easily at all, even despite it being Haru, and the fact that he's just the type who can get riled up fairly easily. Instead, he might be more affectionate by way of draping himself off Haru's shoulder more, or even ruffling his hair (which we now know him to do, even though [so far] it's only been with Samezuka). On the flip side, he seems like one who gets sleepy when drinking, so maybe a sort-of drowsy kind of cute, if that makes sense. He does seem to be caught up in the moment in the thread, but rather than the kiss happening, maybe he would have, idk, tugged on Haru's cheek more, or again, draw him into a closer side-hug as he tends to like doing. The fact, too, that the kiss happens not just once, but a couple times, threw me off. Even if completely without inhibitions, though, kissing someone - even if it's Haru - may not be the most immediate reaction and behavior. Being overly emotional and going off into a blubbering mess of a declaration over ~*~dreams & friendship~*~ might be a more likely thing. Rin is incredibly driven and vocal about his goals, and though I know you have him from pre-Eternal Summer, I don't doubt that he's more up front about Iwatobi being very important- it doesn't even take booze for any of this to happen, either.

Basically. . .So. Maybe, yes, say they do get to a point in their time in Kiseki where they come to more realizations in regards to each other will happen, where a bit of experimenting might happen. That's a-okay. It just wouldn't be something that happens in the blink of an eye, as this did. If you really want to jump into shippy things, it'd probably be best to turn to PSLs or museboxing things, before deciding to have them suddenly make out.

Anyway, ugh, this got way too long. I just hope this didn't come off too badly, because I feel like a total ass, but it's just something that really stuck out to me. I do definitely hope to see him around, nevertheless! I'm very kind of openly a swimmer hoarder when it comes to the games I'm in, so just the fact that Kiseki has FREEbies, at all, now seriously has me elated. But, yeah. Hopefully all this makes sense, too, since I'm writing it at 3 in the morning. Let me know what you think.

Okay, I guess I should start out by saying that you completely misunderstood that thread between Haru and Rin? They're both drunk and both hit with the lost inhibitions event. They've had UST since they were twelve. This isn't a "that's it, the ship is over, all problems resolved" kind of deal. It's awkwardly kissing and two idiots not realizing what they're doing with each other. Rin is impulsive and this isn't "oh we suddenly love each other", but just a reflection on years of Rin having a crush on him. Rin is very physically demonstrative, even in a platonic sense, so with a lost inhibitions event at work, that he'd move to a kiss is a logical response, and not a "I've figured out all of my feelings ever that's it ship over" thing.

JL and I have played a looooooooot of ships together, a lot of which have included "UST that builds up until everything overloads". Haru and Rin can fall into that category, but Rin himself is impulsive, and aided by an event, he'll certainly be even more impulsive. This isn't some huge declaration of love, it's just Rin being a hormonal, stupid teenager. I can play the ship as I like, whether others feel it's "too fast" or better suited for museboxing or not... I mean. They're seventeen. "Feelings first, kisses later" doesn't actually work for every single OTP out there, and especially not for teenagers who've basically been obsessed with each other for years. They're stupid idiots. They're not going to deal with rping cliches. And, after seven years of playing OTPs with JL, we're bored of the dynamic and wanted to play an OTP that wouldn't fall into that dynamic.

A lot of what you're saying, honestly, is more headcanon than basic canon facts, and some of it is headcanon that I don't necessarily agree with in terms to how I've been playing Rin and how I think Rin is as a character. I understand you're coming from a place of wanting to help me out here, but a lot of this reads as "I don't approve of how you're playing this ship, this is how you should be playing it" rather than "this is ooc, and here's why"... and I can appreciate and respect your interpretations - but it's an interpretation, a headcanon, not necessarily "crit" based off something that I'm fundamentally getting wrong about his character.

Rin is physically demonstrative, Rin is impulsive, Rin is affectionate and attacks things head-on.

What I'm gathering from this, however, is perhaps I need to put more introspection into tags, which I do attempt to do from time to time, because it's clear to me that you've misunderstood what's happening in the thread. I do try to incorporate that into tags without going into heavy tl;dr every time, but I'll endeavor to do more of it with Rin in the future.

I am, however, relieved to know that you like how his intro was handled. I was a bit nervous if only because haha yeah, hard to know how someone from a sports anime/slice-of-life shenanigans would react to sudden new jamjar world with magic, and I definitely wanted to make him logically annoyed and WTF about things without making him too closed-off and jerkish, since that doesn't reflect his attitude at the end of season 1/beginning of season 2.

Before anything else, then, my mistake about reading it the way that I did. I fully admit (which may be noticeable, or not, I don't know) that this game isn't the style of what I'm accustomed to, in terms of how Kiseki is far more rapid-fire tagging, compared to having more descriptions of inner thoughts and the like (and in all the years I've been RPing, this is the first of its kind that I've been in). While yes, I do realize I've been a part of the game since around April, it's taken some adapting on my part, when it comes to both reading, and writing.

Our interpretations and opinions diverge in places, and I fully can recognize and accept that, because really, that's something that happens in RP in general, in terms of people who play the same character (or even not), no matter what type of character. Apart from you, I have a number of other friends who also play Rin, and we similarly also have varying opinions here and there, and that's certainly fine. It was never my intent to say you're wrong, or that I hate how you're playing (which is hardly the case at all, considering I know I've buzzed at you at least a few times, now, for being as excited as I am to get to play against him), so I'm sorry if all of what I've said came out that way.

Yeah, and I think I've said before that I'm totally aware that you guys (you, Kitten, Sari, etc) are all more used to the introspection, long-tags that I tend to not do in favor of comment-spam, but I do try to do more introspection for you guys if only because I know it's the style you like -- whereas I don't with JL because we both favor the comment-spam style and tend to ramble to each other about what's going on (and I am notoriously B A D about remembering that other people read my threads lmao). So I can see how it could be easy to misread things, especially if you're not used to the tagging style. I think that it's difficult to adapt to that, even being here since April (I've gone into games that had more of your tagging style and didn't last long if only because it tended to overwhelm me).

And in the future, too, if you ever are curious about a tag between us, or elsewhere, and need clarification, please please please don't hesitate to poke me on plurk about it and I can either clarify or rewrite the tag. :|b I have a tendency to just assume people know what's going on with my characters, kind of a carry-over from when we were CLAMP-only and everyone was basically aware of each other's canon. Especially moving to panfandom, with more people who are canonblind, it's so easy to just forget that, well, someone's not going to get the significance of the icon + "...", which I used to be able to rely on.

And I apologize if my reply came across as kind of snappy (as I reread it, it does come across that way and it wasn't my intention at all). Sometimes it's tough with popular characters who can be more open to interpretation, because if there's enough vagueness in canon or implications, you can logically take it in several directions. And I'm still brand-new with him, too, so likely there'll be some elbow room and liberties taken as I get used to playing him (like, in a few months from now, I'll probably cringe at all the threads happening this month lol).

I'm super super happy that you enjoy him ;^; admittedly I was super worried about crit time coming up cause I was like OH NO SHE'S GOING TO TOTALLY RIP ME APART AAAAAH so ahaha, I've had a lot of fun threading with Ichiru (and being able to thread with him more, too, since I've been kinda crummy tagging him in the past).

And I'm a punk who didn't say it before, but: thank you so much for taking the time to write this all out for me.

I sometimes forget that this game used to be only CLAMP-verse. Which ironically, is something I am 99% canon blind to- although even now, I can't say I'm overly familiar with many of the canons represented here, which has left me a little stupidly awkward in how I go about things.

Also, I will keep that in mind! Thanks for being so open about all of it.

I TOTALLY GET THE NERVES, TOO. In all honesty, despite my absolute love of Rin and writing him here and there, the idea of actually apping him anywhere scares the hell out of me. Which is why I've just been PSLing with a couple of friends, or writing little drabbles for my own pleasure. Zero is actually my primary, and has been for years now, so Rin's personality (specifically the emotion ticking time bomb part) is something I am super wobbly with. SO KUDOS.

ME TOO. I legit meant it when I said he should totally be another older bro for Ichiru (sorry though, Rin, you will never ever be first place), as well as just the fact that he reminds me of bitty Rin, albeit ill. So, yes, definitely looking forward to everything and anything.

And you're welcome. I was admittedly terrified to comment, bc I usually never do this kind of thing. So thanks, too, for not blowing up at me like I've heard people can do. ;o;

I know that you've mentioned recently that you're feeling a little uncertain about Constance, and I just want to preface this by saying that she is amazing and I think you do a great job demonstrating her spirit and her personality, without making it over-the-top.

I'd love to see her breaking past just the musketeers, however, and setting out on other things. Maybe try to focus and emphasize other aspects of her personality, not just 'don't take no crap' kind of thing? Constance is also very nurturing and kind, mother-like, as demonstrated with someone like Fleur. So maybe have her interact more with the younger crowd? Find opportunities to demonstrate her total badassery there, too (demonstrate her sword-fighting to protect some kids, maybe? Seek out a teacher since d'art isn't around, alas). On that note, I'd also love to see her get to know other people, too, and maybe have a side-eye moment of questioning people's life choices.

I know sometimes it can be difficult to know where to get started, but perhaps branching off from castmates could be a nice step. Or, if that's too 'oh shit what do', maybe branch off of CR from castmates? Aramis and Porthos both know a lot of people, so maybe just interacting with them and talking about the boys would be a nice stepping stone to determine just what you want to do with Constance and how you want to emphasize her personality.

That all being said, I adore her, and have loved the threads you've done with her. So I'm hoping you can feel a little more comfortable with her and we can all see her around more. You're doing great so far, and I understand that hesitancy, so I hope that you can overcome the insecurity soon because she, like every other character you've ever played, is so distinct and fun.

First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to comment! I super appreciate this ;o; ♥

Secondly, I am glad that overall, you are enjoying Constance, despite my recent failures in making her active. I totally acknowledge your point in branching off from castmates, and actually, she's had some pretty nice CR building up before with others like Snow, Charming, Arthur, Daigo and Ucchii, to mention a few, but lately, as I was feeling uncertain in the way I was playing her and thus didn't throw her at logs so much... well, what ended up happening was that my castmates were the only ones actually going "hey I want Constance in this log", and I delivered. That is why her focus has been on the three musketeers lately! Of course, this is no excuse, since no one should have to go "hey I want your chara here" at me every time, but I'm just saying that she does have previous CR with non-castmates that I just kind of totally failed at building up on.

Anyway! I really like the idea of having her interact more with the younger characters in the game -- I've had her talk to some of the kids, like Nia, and then some that were deaged, but it's definitely something to consider and something I had overlooked, so thank you for pointing that out! I'll definitely keep that in mind when tagging future logs and posts.

But really, thank you so, so much for commenting, I'll try my best to somehow feel more comfortable playing her - I'm planning to rewatch the show, so maybe that'll give me some confidence in her voice, if nothing else. TL;DR thank you so much for this, I'm super glad you like Constance and I'm even more glad to have got this comment, I'll do my best in the future to have her be around more!

It's great to see both your characters around! Your characterization is really good, so there's nothing to crit there.

I would like to point out a different issue altogether. Your tags are usually written in a funny way, which is a great contrast with Gold and Athos's dry, less than friendly attitudes. It works great in that sense, but it can become difficult to tag with them because sometimes that's all their tags are, and it's hard to tell what they're doing, their expressions, motions, thoughts, and so on.

This isn't a request for extensive introspective, I know many people around favor a laid-back commentspam style. Simply adding a little more information into tags here and there would work well.

I think Elsa was a good choice for you. She seems perfect thus far and I really like your approach to her timepoint and fleshing out the character more. You do a really good job of capturing her anxiety and uncertainty but, at the same time, making her seem opaque to other characters who don't know her history and wouldn't necessarily pick up on her discomfort.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of her!

Look at me being the loser who apped a new character and then went totally MIA. I'm sorry I haven't been around much of late. RL has been difficult of late. I'm aware of the fact that my activity right after apping with her has been dismal though, and I really need to get in and get Ty Lee active especially. I'm wobbly playing a new character and haven't wanted to half-ass her. If anyone has noticed anything off with her so far, though, let me know please.

I'm sort of taking this week to try and gather myself back up and get RL and RP back together and in place, take stock of things, and see what I need to do.

I honestly have no critique to give about Ty Lee because for what I've seen of her, you're doing really well at capturing her voice. I think at times it was a little clear you were distracted about rping, which isn't a reflection on characterization or anything like that, but rather an indication that you needed a break.

I think you're doing a good job of capturing Yuuki's personality, especially in lieu of Kaname leaving. You do a great job of highlighting her sadness and her reaction to the loss, without making her TOO closed-off and distant from others. You can see that she's sad, and maybe wants to isolate herself, but I'm always happy to see her tagging around.

This isn't so much a comment on activity or characterization as it is with tagging style. I've noticed lately that when it comes to logs, you seem to only ever post top comments, but don't tag around. Sometimes it seems a little discouraging and comes across as, well, maybe she doesn't want to tag my character so I shouldn't bother her. I've found that it helps my activity to lay off on top comments and instead tag around more, because it puts the control more in my hands (determining who I will tag and how often I will tag, versus being at the mercy of whoever it is that will come my way). So maybe when trying to get your feet back from under you, perhaps focus primarily on tagging others instead of just a top comment? I don't know if that's a method that you like to incorporate, but I know that for others in the past, such a method has helped get back on their feet and get activity back on track.

To avoid a repeat comment, I'll second this. Yuuki used to be so active and involved, but for a long while now she's taken a backseat and doesn't really tag around anymore, even to already established CR. Even when you are tagging and trying to RP it seems to stick to only top-level comments, so it doesn't appear to be an issue of RL getting in the way of her being more present.

She's a wonderful character with so many interesting sides to her, you play her amazingly well, and I do love playing with her and reading her threads, so it'd be great to see her around more often.

Hello you two, and thanks for the heads up. It's definitely not my intention to leave CR or anyone hanging, or to not tag out. I'll preface by saying that if you ever want Yuuki for a thread or something specific, and I don't get to your own top level for whatever the reason, then please definitely hit me up in plurk or elsewhere! I genuinely enjoy all of Yuuki's CR and I'm hoping to expand it further! I often make plurks to ping people and ask for that very thing, and to see if she is wanted anywhere in case I don't hit someone up.

All of that said, and this is in no way to lessen the concerns brought up here (Because I have every intention of trying to hit up more top-level comments) I went back through my activity. I've mostly hit up mingles, vs individual posts I've noticed of late, so I need to make a habit of hitting those up more and correcting that. But after reviewing my activity in the mingles within July and August that I was in (with the exception of the Free log where I fell off the wayside), outside of my own top-level, I hit up anywhere from three to six other individuals.

What are the expectations in this? I'm not asking maliciously, but rather I'm genuinely asking how many individuals in a mingle you would assume is tagging out enough with one character.

Now that I have Ty Lee, I've noticed it's a little easier to spread myself out with other people because those who Yuuki doesn't hit up to avoid repetitive scenarios with, I'm able to then tag with Ty Lee. It gives me a little more balance.

I guess my concern is that I hope my activity with Yuuki isn't being compared to the activity of an individual who plays a number of different characters- who naturally would seem more spread out, vs just having played one character until just very recently.

AGAIN! I know my activity has been horrible of late in general. For a while I was having some motivational issues as well. So I'm not trying to say I've been incredibly active or the like. I realize that I haven't been as active as I would like. But I'm still curious to hear other's thoughts on this.

Ichiru Kiryuu ♦ [info]unthreaded

I still feel a little rocky with him in areas (particularly when it comes to how open he is about being ill/bedridden/etc, along with his family), so any thoughts would be great. Also, I know I really need to tag out more. :x

I think you do great in not making Ichiru overly cutesy, or force cuteness into threads, as many kid roleplayers often do. In terms of overall personality and interactions, he does feel like an actual well-rounded character with substance to him, and in turn this does make him likeable and fun to play with.

I wonder about his potential development, however. You've said a few times that you simply enjoy playing him as ill, which is fine of course. But for a child who is constantly sick to the point of being unable to do anything, wouldn't it make sense that, being in a magical land where people have all sorts of skills, he'd search for a way to be better?

This is absolutely subjective and I'd like to hear your thoughts on it, but playing a child who was so limited and sick in his own canon, to me it'd make sense to seek a way for him to at least be moderately better off, so he can have a chance to do things he couldn't before.

There was a suggestion that he'd learn to swim, that seems an interesting thing to have him do. I liked seeing him drawing and playing like a child would, as so many of his tags in previous logs involved mostly being sick, or being hurt in some way. While the hurt-comfort aspect of caring for a scared, sick or hurt child can be fun, if there's no intention for him developing anything from those situations (whether it's physical improvement, or emotional, with his attitude towards it changing as he's now mosly sticking to pessimism and acting defeated and resigned) it feels that he'd soon become a one-trick-pony character.

First off, thank you! I really appreciate and am so glad to hear that. Ichiru was never really that "cutesy little kid" type at all, but rather more along the lines of being bratty, which is actually something else I've been rocky with. It's my first time ever playing such a young character, though, in general, so I'm glad to hear I've been doing something right.

Healing him (whether part way, or completely) is an idea I've been mulling over, actually. The prospect of getting better is something that is completely out of reach, canonly, so much so that it is very deeply ingrained into his thought process, most specifically with the fact that regular human medicine does absolutely nothing. So, that's been a part of why he's been the way he is, in Kiseki: that even though he's aware of this world very potentially having something that could (even likely) heal him, breaking away from years of feeling so defeated is a challenge. — That said, however, later in canon, he actually is freed from all illness and being weak, and it's via the blood of a pureblood (which is the type of vampire Yuuki is). Heather and Sari and I have talked about taking this route a few times, too. I've stated that, although I'm still sitting on that specific way about things, I've been in game since around April, and feel I'm ready to begin exploring healing him via Kiseki, first. I don't think I'll cure him immediately 100%, but taking steps towards it. As mentioned, being weak, and just knowing he has little potential, is a huge part of his character, so a part of this is just me being unsure how I should go about shifting around how he will carry himself, as well as present himself towards others.

But yes. Long story short, I definitely do want to do something. Not sure on specifics just yet, but I'd love to see him stronger, and more able to stand on his own, rather than always ending up relying on Zero so much (or any of the others who have helped him). — Swimming, can come in, too, absolutely bc I always need more swimmer CR. Simple as it sounds, I also want him to get out and having fun on his bike, too- and just, you know, having fun like a kid his age should (hell, even consistent school attendance is something he's always had trouble with, so that will happen, too).

Anyway, thank you so much for commenting. I really appreciate getting opinions, from an angle that I may have looked over too easily. Though nervous to see how his character may shift around (especially as it is more or less only seen in one chapter, of all 93 in the series, if that), I also look forward to seeing how he can go from there.

That all sounds great, and I look forward to these developments, regardless of the route you take with him!

Sherlock Holmes ([info]betterwithher)

Last time, I mentioned trying to be less difficult to build CR with. I am now adding CAREFUL WITH YOUR TONE OUTSIDE THE QUOTATIONS cause while Sherlock is an immature jerk, I really don't feel the way he does most of the time, but that can be hard to tell given the way I word things in my brackets ><;;;; I'm going to work on those two things along with the spelling issues one anon pointed out before. I do hope I'm improving somewhat, though I still have a ways to go.

I'm not the anon that brought this up before, but I wanted to say I have noticed an improvement from last time where the spelling and grammar of your tags is concerned. Your efforts there show, and it's appreciated as someone who had difficulty reading some of them before! I personally enjoy Sherlock's immature jerk antics a lot, and I look forward to seeing more of it as always along with how he develops CR despite it. Remember if you're having trouble that there's never anything wrong with talking to muns about where threads might go. Communication can be a big help to keep ic = ooc misunderstandings from happening and continue threads that could get closed off even if your character might be a little difficult with it. Good luck!

I *am* the anon from last time and I just wanted to say that I've definitely seen a huge improvement with the spelling/grammar issues from before, and I just want to say that I'm really glad that you took the advice to heart and didn't get unhappy or closed-off about it (since sometimes it isn't an issue that can be helped, and I didn't want to come across as being rude to you since we are all sufferers of autocorrect sometimes). But Sherlock's threads have been vastly improved and I thankfully haven't had to sit puzzled at some of his threads lately.

I'm not the mun from before who mentioned his closed-off-ness, but I will say that I've noticed an improvement in that, too! His most recent post was open and the threads therein were fun and interesting to follow, and it was heartening to see Sherlock engaging with others, even if it was debate.

Overall, it's great to see more of Sherlock and I'm really looking forward to seeing more of him!
