[She lets Yuuki speak without interruptions, listening until the very end, through the pauses, the uncertain words but with the clearest intention. After Yuuki is done, Jamie is silent for a moment still, before she walks closer and finally speaks.]
You were not the only one affected by the missing lights. Under normal circumstances, I should have given it to you immediately... and I did not, for which I'm sorry, too.
[She pauses, biting her lip in a hesitant manner.] I admit I was- scared, before, but... you're not the only one with the memories of a lifetime that never happened.
[The memories are inside her head, too, even if she can compartmentalize them better than the others, here. She looks down with a soft smile.] I do have a daughter, you know. I had to give her up when she was born... but I did it to protect her.
[The words echo their false life - there, too, she had given up her daughter for a time, to protect her. It seems the parallels were unavoidable.] When I look at you, Yuuki, I don't see a girl who tried to kill me. I see a girl who, in another life, could have been my daughter.
