Heaven is a beautiful world that’s, well, heavenly – and as expected, a wonderful place to live in. It’s always sunny, as the angels get their nourishment from the sun, but thankfully the sun is never too much or too hot, always a pleasant, comfortable temperature – and clouds appear to give relief during the hottest parts of the day, just so no one is ever unhappy. The world is a long expanse of water and beaches, one large island in the center of it where the Tree of Birth is, from which all angels are born. It’s at this center island where the royalty of Heaven stays, as well, in a beautiful castle all are free to enter and stay in, to walk amongst the royals there.
The world is essentially a large archipelago, with several little islands spread throughout an endless ocean, the beaches full of sand and seashells, making it easy enough for angels to fly between islands, landing when they need to, or bathing in the water. When the sun sets, and the light is low over sand and water, it feels as if it will stretch on forever, for eternity. It’s a beautiful, serene feeling.
There’s always a sense of peace in Heaven, and few ever feel the need to leave it – but there’s always some who grow bored, tired of this perfect world, in which the seasons never change, the water stays the same temperature, and there’s only other angels to interact with.
The angels of heaven fill several roles within heaven’s main duties. There are angels who sing to hatch the angel eggs (from which all angels are born), there are the archangels who control a specific element (there’s a total of four angels for fire, water, wind, and earth), and they spend their days in peaceful harmony. That isn’t to say that angels are pushovers, however – while they don’t possess an ‘army’ in the traditional sense, all angels are able to defend their world and will do so when push comes to shove. In fact, their defense is a fearsome contender to any invading army, and it’s a very rare occurrence that non-angels should be in heaven, and have arrived there by force rather than invitation.
Angels aren’t as ethereal as they might first appear. All angels have magic, but some magic is stronger than others – and those who are not strong in their magic yet will shrink during nighttime, as they’re denied their life energy from the sun at night for obvious reasons. Angels do not eat anything that was once living, which includes vegetables and fruits (and will instead drink things like water or milk while outside of heaven). Their primary form of nourishment is from sunlight, absorbed through their wings.
Angels’ wings are always present, although they can appear translucent at will. For all angels, there’s a light that the wings give off and it allows for angels to sense each other. An angel that’s abandoned heaven or their duties, or deserted angelic beliefs (such as the aforementioned foods to eat) will have lost that light and won’t be able to be sensed by other angels.
Within heaven, there are many of the angels participating in an equal society, royalty very rarely seeing themselves above non-royalty. While God does not often make himself known, aside from through messengers, the head angelic family, and royal family, is overseen by the matriarch Snow White, Queen of Heaven.
