[Considering the state Korra arrived in last and just knowing everything that Korra was going back to... when she disappeared, Asami worried badly. More than only the usual concern about not being able to see her, of missing her, this time it was a painful worry of wanting and being unable to do anything to make it so going back wouldn't mean she'd be hurt so badly.]
[Still, at first... getting Korra's message brings relief--it's her, they can talk, she's okay. But in reading it, seeing the broken up sentences and illegible scribbles, it quickly becomes clear that the things inevitably ahead had come to pass. Asami writes back trying put the most support and comfort into the words as she can.]
Korra, it's me.
Don't worry, I'm going to do what you asked. It's okay. I'm still here from the same time, but Mako explained some things before. [She wants to say she's sorry but it doesn't seem right either.] So you don't have to feel like you need to say anything. I understand.
But I am here for you. I want you to know that goes for anything you might need. [...]
I'm so glad to hear from you. [She means that entirely, ending on one more note of reassurance for good measure.] I'm here.
