[Zakutor really has no idea either, but he's spent the last hour or so watching people and learning what to do and now his progress is ruined. When Parasagun snaps at him, Zakutor gets one more bite in before rolling off and running to circle around the legs of their humans, screeching back in Parasagun's direction. He's going to get a new pumpkin, Parasagun -- that might be an invitation.
Souji can't help the smile tugging at his lips now that Ian is responding well to his teasing. He presses his lips together to try and stop, but it only serves to make him smile more.]
Maybe we should stop spending so much time together.
[That's definitely teasing and Souji can't even hope to keep a straight face while saying it. When Ian rests on him again, Souji tilts his head to rest against Ian's, making a soft, content noise.]
I know the general motifs. ... witches, ghosts... [He knocks his free hand against the pumpkin.] ... pumpkins, monsters... Nothing specific. I don't know much about ghost stories or why people dress up or why pumpkins are such a big thing. ... I've never celebrated it before. So... I guess I don't know anything at all.
[Granted, celebrating Halloween was still a new thing in Japan, but over the last few years Souji had noticed his classmates getting more and more into the idea of going out to parties and dressing up. It was just one more entry on a long list of things Souji had never had time for.]
