[It's the butterflies that draw his attention. They are familiar looking yet lack a presence to them that he's used to experiencing at their appearance. They don't belong to her, they can't, but he follows them anyway until he finds himself on an unfamiliar porch.
There are numerous packages resting there but the only one that he really pays attention to is the one labeled with her name.
With a frown he picks it up, curious on why a gift would be left here for her. The bottle shifts slightly and Zero instantly recognizes the sound from within as the pills rattle within the container.
It's a sound any pill addict would recognize and Zero tears the paper away to reveal the tablets inside. His mouth watering in the same way Pavlov's Dogs would when they heard the bell. Where did she get these? Why were they just sitting here for her? Hunger overwhelms him in a way that he can't ignore when something he wants and actually more importantly can allow himself to have drops on his lap.
With all this is the red hot fury with the realization that this is probably why she hasn't had any issues with her hunger. How long has she been doing this and why wouldn't she share that knowledge with him?
He was starving and she had an answer all along.
Hands clenched into fists, the grip on the bottle tightens as he storms away from the scene, butterflies dissipating like smoke as he moves through them.
