[Parasol over head she nods and moves to sit down beside him, folding her legs beneath her.]
I don't know very much about them. But I was told once-- that they are created from a composite of various types of cultured hematopoietic stem cells.
[She actually memorized something (for once).]
I don't...know who's cells were originally used. [Quiet while she stares at the ground and frowns.] The taste-- when I have one, it's not... really a pleasant sensation. [She glances to him] I'm trying to think of how to describe it to someone who doesn't drink blood... it's like...when I take one, suddenly I feel the presence of countless individuals who I can't see.
[Which maybe makes sense. Through blood memories and emotions are easily felt, delving into the person's mind. It's intoxicating and so intimate. She longs for it all over again.]
At home I only drank the blood of my brother. He's like me. Two of the other vampires here suggested trying to drink from the monsters in the woods, but... [Beyond sounding gross] it's not possible to get nutrition from animals. It.... it would be the same as biting myself.
[ . . . . . . She's tried it before. It hurt and was pointless and kind of embarrassing when others realized what she had done. She'd just been so hungry though.]
I say nutrition, but it's not that we would die without blood. I'm immortal. But... [Uncomfortable she wraps an arm around her waist.] It's painful and maddening. [Constantly on the mind coupled with a painful and intense thirst. She has to wonder if it's the sensation that a drug addict would feel, only so much more intense.]
