We often went to our lord's house to discuss strategy and plan our next move, but most of the time we spent in the town with the civilians and with each other, training and helping out where we could. There were no private baths in those days; we would bathe together in the communal bath houses. Souji-dono mentioned they still have some in various places in modern Japan, but that they are not as popular as they once were. Washing your back...
