[Her bangs dip forward, body tense. It takes all she has to keep her hand steady from trembling. And just like that he can pass her along.
Maybe, even now, a small piece of her has wanted to believe that he'd fight to keep her. Do any little thing to show that he can't bare to be separated from her the same way that it tears her apart.]
Don't bring Zero into this.
[Of all people. For him to try and pass her off to him after everything that has been done to him and his family is the worst.]
You never really intended to stay with me here, did you.
[Artemis lowers, slowly, before the blade rests against the ground. There had been no trust in him. Only hope, but even that quickly shrinks. A childish hope that here they could have been together again. In the end all she had wanted was to be happy.
A second later, Artemis disappears and reverts to it's collapsed state. She turns on her heels, swallowing thickly, before she grasps one of Zero's wrists, and begins to walk.]
Stay away from him, Zero. You don't have to do anything he says.
[Because it's safer. Because she can't take hearing that Kaname would use him again. Because she doesn't know what else to do. Her grip is tight, though it shakes upon him. She pauses just briefly.]
There's no point to fighting here. Because none of this will affect home. I want you to know, though, Kaname... that I wont be the one to lose. And I want you to think about what that means in the end. Because the only way you will succeed is if you manage to work up the nerve to steal that last breath.
[Her eyes close, heart heavy.]
And now... I'm asking Zero, if it is all right for the two of us to leave together. At least for now.
