[About halfway through the first day, once the initial chaos has subsided, Porthos can be found scratching away into his journal. He's not writing an entry - he's drawing out a rudimentary map. He knows roughly where everything is in Kiseki on a normal basis, and now he's juxtaposing it with what landscape/islands/trees are noticeable with the flooding.
He remembers this from last time, vaguely - it's different enough and long enough now that he can't remember everything exactly, but he figures this will help - especially if those water dragons are going to keep up with those tasks.
His map so far has a few of the islands, the Sakura tree island most prominently, of course, and a few notes marking where water, blankets, and food have been found.
Currently he's exploring deeper into what was the forest. He has a task of finding some fruit for the dragons, but he might as well do two things at once and make the map as accurate as possible. Depending on how long this lasts, it might become necessary.
Of course, being so focused on the map might not be the smartest thing. As he goes further into the forest that means there are water monsters, after all, and there's a large snake-like creature peeking out from the water...]
