[The first two days pass well enough, little as Bucky likes the cold... but at least it's manageable, with the fires and blankets and hot drinks. He sleeps very little, unable to quite shake the nightmares that the cold brings, of the Alps and falling--
Yeah, it's no wonder he doesn't feel like sleeping much. But soon enough it becomes apparent Miracle Country likes him sleeping just as little, if even less. Every time he so much as tries to nap, quick naps throughout the day, to keep him alert and yet never so long as to dream -- he wakes up, freezing. The first time, he can barely feel his legs; the second, his entire left arm is completely numb.
After that, he gives up on the entire idea of sleep... which is easy to see, with the way he sits near one of the fires, half-slumped over, a cup of hot chocolate in his hands, more there to warm them than for him to drink. From time to time, he yawns, then shakes his head, like that is enough to make the tiredness go away.]
