[Outside the town borders, in the forest that looms so near, when the night falls, you might see a light flickering between the trees, like someone's decided to lit a fire despite all the dangers it might present, like this in the dark.

If you listen very hard, you might hear the faint echoes of laughter, or a song that may or may not start with:] Oh, sober, it’s ever darker, but shitfaced, the moon is nearer! Sober, you’re old and ugly, but shitfaced, who needs a mirror?

[... not that getting drunk is too easy for a pureblood, really.

Come and investigate? Though be careful for the noises you make, especially if you're a vampire... because the sound of singing may cut off surprisingly quickly, almost like the one singing has heard whatever small twig cracked under your foot.

Of course, it's always possible you're already there, gathered around the fire -- tell him to shut up or join the singing?]
