Ciel's unadorned now, looking in surprise at the jewelry that Sebastian just relieved from him. He'd missed it when they first changed. Whether it's from the belief that the jewelry has any control over his newly acquired abilities (it does not, it's literally just plain old swag), or that Sebastian finally proved that he's not a threat by showing some concern and that Ciel's powers, like his trust, is slow to reciprocate (the most likely scenario), Ciel's shield finally drops. The shadows manifest again, only to slither unnaturally back into Ciel's body. As it retreats, more of Ciel is revealed and his lovely grump face is now visible for Sebastian's enjoyment.
