I have stuck in my head that when you go meet Tritoch for the...second?...time, right before SOMEONE goes screaming batshit, that there's a flash of light and some kind of explosion that pushes everyone back. Sabin falls right off the mountain with a 0_0 look...and Shadow jumps off too, obviously to go help him. I haven't replayed the game for years and years and years, so I don't know if I'm remembering correctly, but I declare it canon for this ficbit. :P
