ROLL CALL // PLOT POINTS
As you all may have noticed, a Dire Plague is about to descend on Kings Landing, courtesy of Braavos. The casualties will be many and missed (aka, if you have missed your month-long inactivity limit, expect your character's kin to soon be holding their funeral). If you have some reason for your character's long absence, now is the time to comment. If i have to send out the month-warning, you have THREE DAYS AFTER YOU GET THAT EMAIL and then your character is plague-bait.
Those characters who are not entered into play within two weeks of being taken may well find themselves sharing the fate of inactive characters. I don't want to be cruel, but this is Westeros. If you aren't moving, you're going to become collateral damage.
Right now, the game as it stands is easily modified. We don't have a whole lot of history to wave farewell to. It's in the nature of Westeros to demand rewrites (A Song of Ice and Fire was supposed to be a trilogy you know), and A Gathering of Shadows may well require a slight rewrite. We need to know which players are still interested, who is planning on being around, and what the situation for the game is.
- if you have a Major Character who is not head of a major house, and you know you will not be able to post every other week, then let us know. You can downgrade them to a minor character- it IS an option. You can take a hiatus. You can empower someone to act for you as your character (someone you trust please, and I swear the first one to turn this option into drama will get handed over to the Qyburn School of Research.)
- if you have a Major Character who is head of a major house, and you know you will not be able to post at least once every other week, let us know. We can think of something, all right? I'm not disposed to biting heads off and neither is Eryl.
