"Careful, it's slippery!" Billy shouted after her, only to have his words swept away by the winds. He had to squint through the heavy drops to even see her, one hand shielding his eyes as he tried to catch up without winding up face first in the mud. It was so difficult to see he didn't even realized she'd turned around and started running the other way until she was almost upon him.
"Whoa--!" Was all he managed to sputter by way of reaction, but his arms went out reflexively to create a sturdy cradle into which she could land, his arms braced and more than capable of receiving her weight, even if he expression was plastered with open surprise.
