Mattie threw her head back, laughing. Water filled her mouth and she swallowed it. She took a few more dance like steps toward Billy, the wind whipping at her heavy, rain soaked clothing as only a hurricane could.
"Come this way," she shouted, reaching her own hand out to take him instead. "I'm not going inside yet!" Not a chance. She'd had worse, much worse off the Floridian coast on the reservation. At least on the campus she didn't need to be as worried about an alligator or snake biting at her ankles. The water felt good and cool on her skin as she turned her face into the howling wind.
