You have to understand
Look. I didn't know it was your father. Alfred let him in without informing me, as he apparently recognized him from his old tutoring days. I didn't. I found a strange, harried man sitting in my home, eating my food, completely at his ease. What did you expect me to do? I have nothing but my privacy, Grace. And I'm the son of a bloody diplomat. What if it had been some sort of attack? What if I'd walked in and it wasn't a man in my chair, but a man with a bomb strapped to his chest?
