Who: Meg & Open Where: Tink's Tavern When: Afternoon What: Getting drunk to ease the pain of loss.
Six beers, eleven shots, and two whiskey sours later Meg was pretty well drunk. But it wasn't go away. The hole he left in her was still there, still aching. And she didn't want to feel anymore. It hurt to much. It was all too much.
She had been in love. He had loved her. His note even said he did. But he was still gone. Just gone. No explination. Just up and left her. After everything. After finally letting herself love again, it was all over.
The note he left was stained with the tears that just kept on coming. Everytime she thought she had shed all the tears she had, more seemed to follow. And no matter how much she drank, he was still there, In her mind and shattered heart.
A fresh wave of tears started and she clutched the note to her chest, doubling over as she sobbed. She wasn't quiet. She was too drunk and in too much pain to be. Her mascara was running down her face like some kind of macabre mask.
