Duo folded his knees up, shifting slightly when the rips in his pants allowed the rock he was sitting on to graze skin. He braced his elbows, dragged his hands through his hair enough to pull it out of his face, and tried to have a good thought.
Any good thought.
Going over the litany of events that was his current track record since crash landing on this place, gave him nothing but the urge to be slightly hysterical.
Duo didn't do hysterical well, it gave him a headache.
Thinking further back then that didn't really help him much. There was a lot of difference between then and now, and the before suddenly seemed a whole lot more unreal then the current.
Which, considering giant god robots with a beef jerky him inside, was saying something.
Duo looked at the small and entirely boring patch of grass right in front of him and decided he was going to think about nothing but that for a while. Grass was nice; they didn't have a whole lot of that in space.
Look, green. Pretty.
"If slapping sense into me worked," he murmured, eyes tracking what was possibly a daisy, "I'd be the most boring guy in the known universe."
Duo spared a second to wonder if he'd even been here a week. He didn't think so.
