Iruka watched the man - Lorne? Major? Something? - and the way he was holding the ... metal stick did not bode well for anything. He was, of course, justifiably nervous, because any longer than five-seconds worth of exposure to Raidou tended to do that to people.
He sighed, and touched Lorne's shoulder, drawing back at the slight jerk at how close Iruka was suddenly to him. "It's alright. Raidou won't hurt you - he's helping. In a way."
It was, if you sifted through the garbage, advice. How to live in this godforsaken island, with the world pulled out from under your feet. Lorne might not have realised it yet, but he will, eventually.
