Ahh night time practices. Some people thought Riley was insane for doing them, especially in this chill, but Riley was all about the feel of the wind in her face. Most definitely when that chill would wake her ass up and get her ass moving. The darkness made it harder to focus on the ball, which only meant that she'd have to concentrate harder on it. For her, that meant working on sharpening her focus, which would make her that much better in the daylight hours when she played. Besides, Riley was a night owl. She thrived in the night time hours and the wee hours of the daytime. It was simply how she rolled. She'd packed her wand as she always did when she went out in the darkness, but she wasn't really listening to much going on around her. If someone stopped her and asked for an autograph or something, sure, she'd totally sign one and take a picture or hold a conversation, but then she was on her way again. It was just how she always was. How she'd always been. She never expected any kind of danger, but then again, she tended to live her life on the precipice of exactly that by the actions she took and the things she did. Maybe she was stupid. Or maybe she just didn't care. Riley wouldn't tell people why she lived the way she did, other than to say 'you have to live or you're not really living'. Apparenly, to her, this meant risks of all kinds. Even the little ones like walking alone at night towards an almost completely empty practice pitch. Go figure. |
