Happy Fourth of July everybody.

Tradition dictates I host a potluck at the park and grill some food for the celebration so if you know me by name, not only are you invited but you're obligated to come. Sorry, I don't make the rules, I just enforce them.

That means you too, birthday boy!

Everyone else, this is an open invitation.

And if someone could pick up some fireworks, I'd really appreciate it.

Do you ever get tired of being a downer? Of course it counts.

Traditions only persist when they're shared and that's what I'm doing so I expect you to bring some pie. You know what, skip the pie. Bring paper plates and plastic utensils. I always forget those.
