Books are often misleading.

Right then. Antlers, as you call her, is Keyleth. She is a druid of the air Ashari and you are absolutely right to respect her as much as you do. She's going to be their leader soon enough.

Little Elf Boy, and please never call him that again, is Vax'ildan, Champion of the Raven Queen. You can call him Vax. He really did not mean to nearly kill you that time.

Little Elf Girl, and again...never do that again, is Lady Vex'ahlia, Baroness of the Third House of Whitestone and Grand Mistress of the Grey Hunt. Or Vex for short. Her bear is Trinket, ~~I can't believe I'm saying this~~ Bearon of the Third House of Whitestone, and, no, he is not a construct. He's a bear.

Jumbo is Grog Strongjaw. He also has a title, but it is not for you to know. He probably did mean to kill you a bit, but he's most likely past that now.

The gnome you're talking to up there is Scanlan Shorthalt. He's a dick and he abandoned us. But I suppose it's not so bad having him here.

Our Cleric, who you met briefly in Whitestone, is also a gnome. Pike Trickfoot. She's perfect and wonderful and far too good for any of us. She is not here but it bears knowing.

My sister is Lady Cassandra Johanna Von Musel Klossowski de Rolo, current sovereign of Whitestone. Do not call her Cass unless she allows it. She is my sister and I will absolutely kill you if you ever harm her. Just, for your information. And I say that as a friend.

You will meet our other friends eventually and I will introduce you then.

I'm beginning to realize that. We did all just nearly die fighting a Kraken. We did lose one fighting a Kraken...

She's just so... strong. I've never met anyone like her.

I'm not holding it against him. It wasn't a pleasant experience but I'm over it. I think.

I remember that being mentioned. If I had realized he wasn't a construct I never would've said anything about taking him apart.

I've met him before, when I was a boy. My father might still hate him.

So he might still want to kill me?

She certainly does seem wonderful. I haven't been with the group long but she seems like the driving force behind it.

I have realized my mistake. He's a friendly bear. An ally.

Yeah. Time is a little weird here. Like, Percy? He knows exactly who you are. Even seems sort of fond of you. Me? I've got no fucking clue. You're not part of my reality at the moment.

And yet, tomorrow, I might be all caught up and dead as dead can be. Which is going to be more than a little difficult when it comes to potentially bringing me back. But maybe this place will be generous and bring me back undead -- wait -- non-dead already, just with the horrific memories of dying intact so I can be just as traumatized as everyone else.
