Maybe Phil should have called first, but Clint honestly didn't mind. He and Laura ran a fairly laid back household, and they always seemed to make more than enough food - or rather Laura did, Clint didn't cook - so it really wasn't a problem. If it had been a problem for Laura, she would have let him know. His wife was not shy about sharing her opinions, especially if he was wrong. It was one of the things he loved about her.
"Sorry about that, babe," he said. "I thought I had. Things have been kind of hectic, getting the kids in school and getting settled in and everything. Coop wants a dog, by the way, so we're going to have to have a family sit down later." He grinned over at Phil. "Don't worry about it. I did say to come over any time. This'll be good. Just...Jesus, lose the tie and jacket. This isn't a mission. There are going to be two and a half children in here in a minute. Your jacket isn't going to survive that."
