Coulson was used to seeing Clint a little more at ease than most people might have. Few people that didn't know the archer personally were hard pressed to believe that he was as fun loving and easy going as he was. Of course, those that did have to interact with him regularly outside of field situations were hard pressed to believe that he had a serious and dedicated side, so Clint really couldn't win no matter what. But this was different than any of that. And as someone who wasn't really around families that often... He didn't have any words to describe it.
But whatever it was, it suited him.
"I probably should have called first," Coulson said, though he was pretty sure neither of them minded. He'd been invited inside without hesitation, after all, and Clint seemed genuinely glad to see him. Which, to be honest, Coulson was really glad to see him, too. Having to fake his own death had lost him the majority of his friends... and then the HYDRA reveal had lost him a good chunk of what was left. There was something comforting about being able to reclaim them here. "But I thought it might be nice to get to know everyone."
